Grace—from the Greek word "Charis"—"chairo=' to rejoice. It is a multi-faceted word; the word grace is considered probably the greatest word in the Scriptures, even greater even than “love,” because grace is love in action, and therefore includes it.
Some of the well-known meanings of grace include favour, loving-kindness and goodwill; the merciful kindness by which God, exerting His holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues.
When "grace" is bestowed on us, we receive God's favour and divine influence and His inner strength and ability to do all that is set before us.
May has come to an end, and we are still in COVID19 (well in London)! One may ask, 'how do I see the grace of God in the midst of such turmoil?'
May, the fifth month of the year, we know that the symbolism of the number 5 mirrors the 5th book of the bible, the book of Deuteronomy is a book entirely dedicated to the grace of God. On the last day of May, we remember the beauty of the day of Pentecost, Despite what is going in the world, please embrace the grace of God from within yourself and show to others. In our time of need (Hebrews 4:16), His grace that is sufficient for us (2nd Corinthians 12:9) helps us to approach the throne of grace (the throne of God) so that it may assist our needs in such a time as this.
Be encouraged beloved xx
