Does Psalm 22:1-3 sound familiar to you?
“And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
Mark 15:34 KJV
What I love about today’s scripture is that it reminds us that at times, in our crying out to God, we may not hear from Him, but this doesn’t mean that he is far from us or that He has departed from us. When you continue to read the entire Psalm, you’ll see that the name of the Lord even was praised because the psalmist knew of the good things and promises fulfilled to his ancestors.
As we compare to Jesus on the cross, he too is express why God has forsaken him. Like think about it Jesus was without sin and even HE felt far from God. And we know just like he did was because the will of God had to be done. Sometimes we have to endure some stuff so that the will of the Lord May be done.
It may be hard but we just do it, in Psalm 22:1- the psalmist wrote My God which lets us know about the relationship between them (the psalmist and God) and we knew that Jesus walked with God. Again this assures is that though he may not answer, he is still there.
Brothers and sisters, the will of the Lord is to be done, and it will be done! On earth, as it is in heaven. Consider this a great joy for scripture tells us that Jesus conquered death - glory to God in the highest
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
